I am currently a senior scientist at Microsoft. Recently, I received my PhD from Brown, where I worked on understanding multilingualism in AI models. I was very fortunate to be advised by Ellie Pavlick and Carsten Eickhoff.
I’m interested in how languages interact, how AI models represent languages, and how insights from these models can inform something about ourselves. Before Brown, I spent my college years at SUTD in Singapore. I guess that’s where my interests in multilinguality came from.
